Medallions

Our Birds in the Rain Collection continues with these multipurpose stoneware-porcelain medallions. Hand created and stamped with our signature Birds in the Rain can be used as a pendant, gift adornment, and even an ornament for special times like holidays. Our stoneware is built to last as an heirloom piece, each is a slight variation, a slight uniqueness in each stamp/glaze relationship.

As each Medallion is individually created, some pieces are more pronounced with the bird impression and others give a mysterious hint of the bird in the rain. Items are chosen at random for shipment. The back contains an artists mark from Cher the Fire as well as our potter's signature.

Birds:

The Male has more details, reflecting natures more flamboyant display among male birds in the wild, and faces to the right. His ribbon color will be brunette in both colorways.

The Female, has cleaner line work, indicating as in nature that she does not need to have all the details, or showy colors to be strong and confident, and faces to the left. Her ribbon colors are blue for River Rock and cream for Mossy Branch.

Colorways include:

River Rock deep ocean blues and earthy brown hues. Complimentary 5" drop, satin ribbons are a mix Brunette/Blue (see pictures).

Mossy Branch, a unique blend of teal with a hint of yellow ochre dipped with an earthy brown. Complimentary 5" drop, satin ribbons are a mix of Cream/Brunette (see pictures).

Medallion size is an approximate 2" circle.

Due to our limited quantities, each piece is sold individually to allow you options in mixing or matching each bird (two choices) in either colorway (two choices).

Complimentary satin ribbon choices are pre-determined, no substitutions (but you can always change it at home with a velvet ribbon or perhaps a piece of leather if that's more your style!).
